57 Students Missing In Mexico Following a Protest

Authorities are looking for 57 students who have been missing from a teachers college since Friday.  Gunmen fired on a demonstration they were attending in Iguala, Mexico, killing 6 people and wounding 25 others.  Witnesses identified the gunmen as local police officers, and reported that they put the missing students on a bus, and escorted them from the scene.  Federal interior secretary, Miguel Ángel Osorio Chong, stated the conduct of the police was “incredible” and that federal authorities would be joining in the investigation.  Thoughts and prayers go out to the missing students and their families.
